  • Description

MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS IN DENTAL FABRICATION -  Most often used in the dental lab for building trial plates for the arrangement of artificial denture teeth.
OTHER DENTAL APPLICATIONS - inlay patterning, boxing of impression, casting, establishing the arch form, establishing the level of occlusal plane, recording the maxillary mandibular relation, corrective impression, and bite registration. This is done for initial modeling and later fitting of trial dentures (try-ins) before the finished product is completed.
RESISTS FLAKING OR CHIPPING - During carving and leaves no residue upon boiling out. Rigid at mouth temperature but able to be molded at higher temperatures without cracking or tearing.
    • Dimensions: 6” x 3” (15.2 x 7.6 cm).
    • Colours: Pink and red
    • Packaging: 1 lb and 5 lb boxes.

    Product Description:
A dental wax containing mostly wax, resin and different types of additives ; used to establish the initial arch form in making trial plates for the arrangement of artificial denture teeth, and for the construction of complete dentures.
Baseplate wax is composed mainly of paraffin and microcrystalline wax as well as resin and colouring matter that mixed together then casted into rectangles sheets. Baseplate wax is relatively hard and slightly brittle at room temperature but becomes soft and pliable when heated

    Specifications:
Carmel has four classifications of base plate waxes: Soft, Medium, Hard and Extra Hard.
The harder varieties are suitable for use in warm climates but tend to crack and flake at low temperatures. The softer series are suitable for use at low temperatures but may flow excessively at very high temperatures.
This ensures that we can supply waxes that meet the relevant industry requirements, while maintaining different ranges in performance. Baseplate Wax Class 1 (soft) and class 2 (medium) are relevant products for use in the dental laboratory.

    Carmel Baseplate Wax Formulations:
    Universal:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM - All-season (stable within a wide range of ambient temperatures).
    • FOR DENTURES & PARTIALS - Made from high-quality ingredients with a colour that simulates flesh tones. Exceptional working quality, ideal softening temperature of 150°F (65°C).
    • Colours: Pink and red
    • Package: 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes

    Extra Tough:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM - More flexible than Carmel Universal Baseplate Wax. All-season (stable within a wide range of ambient temperatures).
    • DURABLE, ALL-PURPOSE WAX - Tough and pliable, it’s sufficiently tacky to hold teeth well. It takes a high polish and boils out clean. Excellent for try-in cases.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes

    Pink #2 All Season:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM - All-season wax is stable within a wide range of ambient temperatures.
    • TOUGH YET FLEXIBLE WAX - A four season baseplate wax that holds teeth firmly, boils out clean and will not stain.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

    Pink #3:
    • HARDNESS: SOFT - Stable within a wide range of ambient temperatures.
    • EASILY SOFTENED - Cooled to minimize shrinkage. Easy to form and carve, boils out cleanly. Ideal for colder climates.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes

    #100 Standard:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM
    • AVAILABLE IN 3 THICKNESSES - These baseplate wax sheets are tough, pliable and hold teeth firmly. They boil out clean and will not stain.
3 thicknesses: Regular, thick and thin.
    • Colours: Pink and Red
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

GP (General Purpose) Baseplate (Tenacious Wax/Bulldog):
    • MEDIUM HARDNESS - Four Season (stable within a wide range of ambient temperatures).
FLEXIBLE BASEPLATE WAX - Easily softened and cooled, resulting in minimal shrinkage during set-ups.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

    Four-Season Baseplate (Truform):
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM
    • HIGH QUALITY WAX - That carves easily at room temperature. This pink baseplate wax is ideal for the arrangement of artificial teeth. It provides a firm attachment for the teeth and boils out cleanly.
    • Colours: Pink and red
    • Packaging: 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes

    Light Pink Wax:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM
    • MODELING WAX IN LIGHT PINK SHADE - It features familiar ease of handling and consistent qualities allowing for smooth work processing in the laboratory. Its desirable light pink colour offers excellent soft tissue representation at the try-in stage and is well received by both patients and clinicians.
    • Colour: Light pink
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

    Set-Up Wax:
    • HARDNESS: MEDIUM
    • HOLDS DENTURE TEETH FIRMLY IN PLACE - Becomes tacky when warmed. It has a great tenacity and is ideal for partial prostheses. Due to its small range (<5%) of melting points, this wax resists distortion, and does not allow runniness or droplet formation.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

    Hard Baseplate Wax:
    • HARDNESS: HARD - Contains additional resin making it harder like a plastic. Very brittle at room temperature.
    • CARVES EASILY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE - Boils-out cleanly. No residue on ceramic or polymer teeth. Carves easily and softens without crumbling or flaking Trims easily. Teeth can be easily and accurately positioned.
    • Colour: Pink
    • Packaging: 5 lbs boxes

    Extra Hard Baseplate Wax:
    • HARDNESS: EXTRA HARD - Contains high amounts of resin making it harder like a plastic. Very brittle at room temperature.
    • CARVES EASILY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE - Boils-out cleanly. Carves easily and softens without crumbling or flaking Trims easily. Teeth can be easily and accurately positioned.
    • Colour: Pink
