• BASEPLATE WAX - A pink or red colored rectangular wax sheet made of paraffin, microcrystalline wax and resin.
• APPLICATIONS - Our Baseplate Wax is commonly used for the purposes of: building trial plates for the arrangement of artificial dentures, inlay patterning, boxing of impression, casting, establishing the arch form and the level of occlusal plane, recording the maxillary mandibular relation, corrective impression, and bite registration. For initial modeling and later fitting of trial dentures (try-ins) before the finished product is completed.
• EASY TO USE - Easy to form and carve, resists flaking or chipping during carving and boils out cleanly. Rigid at mouth temperature but able to be molded at higher temperatures without cracking or tearing. Leaves no residue upon boiling out.
Product Description
Carmel Baseplate Wax is a dental wax composed mainly of paraffin, microcrystalline wax, resin, and discreet color-matching choices. This wax is relatively hard and slightly brittle at room temperature but becomes soft and pliable when heated. It is used to establish the initial arch form in making trial plates for the arrangement of artificial denture teeth and the construction of complete dentures.
10 Formulas classed by 4 Levels of Hardness
Carmel has four rigidities of baseplate wax: Soft, Medium, Hard, and Extra Hard. Having a wide range of Baseplate waxes ensures we can meet all industry requirements while maintaining different degrees of performance.
Soft Baseplate Wax
The softer waxes are suitable for low temperatures but may flow excessively at high temperatures.

• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Mauvelous Pink. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Medium Baseplate Wax
Medium hardness can be used during all seasons and is our most popular category of Baseplate Waxes.
• Universal
• Extra tough
• Pink #2 All Season
• Tenacious (Bulldog)
• Easy Form (Truform)
• Set-Up Wax
Universal
• ALL SEASON, MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - This wax holds its form within a wide range of ambient temperatures. Popular for dentures and partials, exceptional working quality, and ideal softening temperature of 150°F (65°C).
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Standard Pink and Rubine Red. Packaged in 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes.
Extra Tough
• FOUR SEASON, MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - More flexible than Carmel Universal Baseplate Wax. Durable, all-purpose wax keeps its form within a wide range of ambient temperatures. Tough and pliable, it’s sufficiently tacky to hold teeth well and takes a high polish. Excellent for try-in cases.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Dark Pink. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Pink #2 All Season
• ALL SEASON, MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - Keeps its form within a wide range of ambient temperatures. Tough yet flexible wax holds teeth firmly and will not stain.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Red Pink. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Tenacious (Bulldog)
• FOUR SEASON, MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - This wax holds its form within a wide range of ambient temperatures. Flexible baseplate wax. Easily softened and cooled, resulting in minimal shrinkage during setups.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Dark Salmon Pink. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Easy Form (Truform)
• FOUR SEASON, MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - Carves easily at room temperature. Ideal for the arrangement and attachment of artificial teeth.

Set-Up Wax
• MEDIUM HARDNESS WAX - Holds dentures firmly in place and is ideal for partial prostheses. It becomes tacky when warmed due to its small range (<5%) of melting points. Resists distortion and does not allow runniness or droplet formation.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Salmon Pink. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Baseplate Wax Hard
The more rigid varieties are suitable for warm climates but tend to crack and flake at low temperatures.
• #100
• Hard Baseplate Wax
#100
• HARD WAX - Tough and pliable wax holds dentures firmly.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Light Pink and Rubine Red. Packaged in 5 lbs boxes.
Hard Baseplate Wax
The hardest variety is suitable for use in hot climates but tends to crack and flake at low temperatures.
• HARD WAX - Contains resin making it hard. Very brittle at room temperature. Carves and trims easily at room temperature and softens without crumbling or flaking. Dentures can be easily and accurately positioned. Leaves no residue on ceramic or polymer dentures.
• COLOR & PACKAGING - Available in Standard Pink. Packaged in 1 lb and 5 lbs boxes.
Baseplate Wax Extra Hard
This more rigid wax is suitable for warm climates but tends to crack and flake at low temperatures.
• Extra Hard Baseplate Wax
