Carmel cheese wax is a food-grade wax which is used to create a protective coating around cheese. It is specially designed to help protect cheese from airborne contaminants such as bacteria and mold and also makes the cheese more resistant to drying out. This treatment helps prolong the cheese’s shelf life.
1) Pour wax beads and set temperature.
2) Stir the wax beads until it melts.
3) Dip half the cheese in the wax.
4) Let it rest on the side.
5) Dip the other half.
6) Remove and let it rest.
